Nicotine Effects on Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common neurodegenerative disorder that affects millions of people worldwide causing massive economic burden and the number of cases is expected to rise dramatically. Currently, there is no treatment that can stop or reverse the effects of AD. This review attempts to present the current status of research, biopathological approach mechanisms, and nicotine as a therapeutic method in AD.
