Анотація. У статті аналізуються особливості перекладу англійської дитячої поезії українською мовою. Розглянуто фонетичні засоби у поетичних творах для дітей у ракурсі психофізіологічної специфіки цільової аудиторії. Проілюстровано психологічну, лінгвістичну та культурологічну зумовленість еквівалентних замін як необхідного засобу досягнення адекватності перекладу дитячих віршів. It focuses on the phonetic properties of children's poetry from the standpoint of the psycho-physiological features of the intended audience. It has been illustrated that the translation of children's poetry is psychologically, linguistically and culturally predetermined which leads to the inevitable transformations as a means of achieving faithfulness.
