The role of circulating proteasomes (C-proteasomes) representing a multisubunit complex with several proteolytically active sites, and exosomes, which are extracellular vesicles providing intracellular and interstitial transfer of biologically important molecules (proteins and miRNAs) in the pathogenesis of ovarian cancer, has been described.
