Phytoconstituents from the genus Petunia-a review

A review of the phytoconstituents of the genus Petunia (Solanaceae) so far reported, has been presented considering that the genus comprises of a number of varieties of ornamental garden plants with wide distribution, the flowers of which possess variously stripped and colored corollas. Keeping in view of the potential of the genus, an attempt is made to present a review of phytoconstituents of the geuns Petunia which still remains as a source of lead molecules.
