In this study, 257 animals from eight native Turkish sheep breeds (Akkaraman, Dağlıç, Gökçeada, İvesi, Karacabey Merino, Karayaka, Kıvırcık, Sakız) were investigated for three SNPs located at CYP19 and MTRN1A genes which are important for reproductive traits. The A→G transition within CYP19, the C→T and G→A transitions within MTRN1A were investigated by using PCR-RFLP method.
