Impedance of Electrode-Oxide Melts Containing Iron Oxide
1994
ECS Proceedings Volumes
A B S T R A C T In view of the abnormal redox voltammogram of iron oxide melts, the impedance method was applied. As far as the measured quantities are concerned, many extraordinary phenomena were observed. If the iron concent is lower than 2 mole % Fe304; it was proved that the reaction of 1/202 + 2e = O2" is not electrochemically reversible even above 1100K.
