The electrolytic analysis in a. buffer solution, which was previously proposed by the author for the determination of zinc, was proved to give sufficiently accurate results 'also for that of indium. The method is epitomized as follows : To a solution containing indium separated from other elements, add some quantity of 112804 (d=1.84) and heat the solution untill no more white fume of the acid is evolved. Cool and add 50 cc of 1120, and dissolve the sulphate by heating the solution. Add to it 80 cc of the solution containing 15 g borax
