The aim of the paper was to compare the directions of investments in communication and transport infrastructure of the Norte Region in Portugal and the Masovian Voivodship in Poland. When analyzing the saturation of the infrastructure, particular attention has been paid to the investment aspect, since this factor has a major impact on the development of these regions.
