The scheme of coastline adjustment project of Lingang development zone in Jiangyin was studied in this paper. Methods of river evolution analysis and river model test were used to study the possible influence of three different schemes on river regime, flood control, shipping and important wading buildings. Through research, an optimization scheme was proposed; this paper also provides the reference for the engineering and design.
