Her research interest is tourist behaviour from a Critical Tourism approach, concentrating on equity and social justice issues in tourism. Her specific interests are gender, age, embodiment, body image, disability (vision impairment) and mobility, and how these relate to the tourist experience. The passenger experience of air travel is of particular interest. Employed in much of her work is the feminist research method, Memory-work.
