Vibrating Intrinsic Reverberation Chamber for Electromagnetic Compatibility Measurements
2013
IEEE Latin America Transactions
This paper introduces the basic concepts and implementation of a Vibrating Intrinsic Reverberation Chamber (VIRC). This kind of chambers is used in electromagnetic compatibility testing, and offer some advantages compared to traditional chambers. An introduction, an overview of theoretical principles, a description of the VIRC recently built at the CAERCEM research center at Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires, and some measurements obtained during its initial characterization process are included.
