Premenopause is a transitional period that occurs due to decreased generative or endocrine function of the ovaries. In premenopausal women, there is a decrease in estrogen hormone levels and an increase in Body Mass Index (BMI) so that it will increase the risk of diabetes mellitus which is one of the four priority non-communicable diseases.
