Optimizing Aspectual Execution Mechanisms for Embedded Applications

Applications for small embedded mobile devices are becoming larger and more complex resulting in the need for advanced modularization mechanisms. Aspect-oriented modularization is a promising approach to solve this problem, but the overhead of the existing programming languages restricts their practicability for small devices with limited resources.
