Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state (HHS) are two of the most serious acute complications of diabetes mellitus. In this study, we investigated the clinical characteristics of elderly diabetic patients in a hyperglycemic emergency state.
