Specifically for this research, the ethical considerations included ensuring that the researcher had the appropriate training and preparation for the work; that the rights and welfare of the human subjects were protected; that the identities and interests of those involved have not been, and will not be, disclosed; that the information imparted has been obtained anonymously and treated confidentially; and that the research was conducted in accordance with the ethical and professional practices of the IT industry as a whole.
