A Different Reason for Lower Extremity Ischemia: Mural Thrombus in Abdominal Aorta and Successful Surgical Treatment

Acute occlusion of the infrarenal aorta is a lifethreatening condition. In this case report, a young male patient had localized thrombus in the abdominal aorta on computed tomography. Transfemoral embolectomy was performed twice to ensure blood flow in the lower extremity. The abdomen was opened due to the absence of regression in the complaints during the follow-up.
