A new Palaearctic species, Boletina palmata sp. nov., is described, and three other species, B. kurilensis Zaitzev, B. jamalensis Zaitzev and B. pinusia Maximova, are redescribed. It is demonstrated that many specimens from Fennoscandia formerly identified as B. kurilensis belong to B. palmata, while true B. kurilensis occurs only in northern parts of Murmansk Province in Russia, northern Norway and northern Finland.
