Reliability calculations for coastal flood defence systems have been widely used for many case studies worldwide. In this research two different reliability tools (both aiming to calculate the overall flooding probability of a flood defence system) are compared using the same data. The main objective of this paper is to compare the different tools and the outcomes of both models applied to (i) a simple dike and (ii) a pilot site.
