Effect of different storage structures on aflatoxin elaboration in seeds of Pennisetum americanum (linn.) during storage

Different field trips were made to five districts of Rajasthan for collection of seeds of Pennisetum americanum. The seeds were stored at room temperature for 3, 6, 9and 12 months in six different storage structures viz., cloth bags, earthen pots, jute bags, paper bags, polythene bags, tin boxes and were studied. It was observed that the aflatoxinproduction was found to increase with increase in storage period. The study also revealed that average percent increase inaflatoxin was maximum in
