A Study of Paraplegics' Urinary Infections Treated with Fosfomycin

The authors have made a bacteriological and clinical study of 25 paraplegic patients with urinary infections who underwent treatment with fosfomycin administered by intramuscular route. The microorganisms isolated were P. rettgeri Provi-dentia P. aeruginosa Klebsiella P. mirabilis E. coli and S. faecalis. The bacteriological results were very good since 83% of the primary urinary infections were eradicated against 17% failures. Clinically the results were also excellent. There were no important
