... 4 000-4 300 breeding pairs occur, or 6% of the total number of the A. t. torda subspecies. Over 80% of the Russian Razorbill population breeds on islands in Onega Bay, where the species' population has been increasing during the last 20 years. Data from ringing indicate that Razorbills breeding on islands in the Barents and White seas have wintering sites along the coasts of Norway, Denmark and Great Britain, indicating possible exchange among these breeding populations.
