Part 52: Repair Station Rating

The requirements necessary to obtain a repair station certificate remain the same. The onJy change is that a repair station must have its own adequate system of inspection. more » ... ill be inspected by a person other than the one making the repair and to maintain a record of such inspection. A manual supplementing this Part specifies in detail the type of inspection required. 2. The requirements as to personnel, facilities, equipment, and material necessary for each rating have been removed from the regulations and placed in the inanuaL 3. The duration of the certificate has been changed. Upon receipt of an inspector's report recommending approval, the certificate will be issued in the Washington offiee and will be of indefinite duration unless, within 60 days, the applicant is otherwise notified. 4. This revision provides that a Repair Station Rating Record must accompany each certificate. This Bating Record will set forth the type of worlj for which each repair station is approved. The ratings will not appear, as formerly, upon the face of the certificate, but will be prescribed in the Rating Record. The Authority has prescribed and will furnish a form upon which application way be made to amend the Rating Record. 5. A comparison of this revision with the former regulations will indicate that nnmerons changes have been made for purposes of clarification. Certain sections of the regulations have been rearranged and renumbered and other sections have been footnoted.
