To investigate ",hat portion of molccıılc has that undesired action and what are the precauıiom to tak~to prepare a safe dnıg, and what is neces~arily to be don~to change tlı~direction and polcncy of carcinogenicity tm,'ard tissues, a series of studies were carried oul. Several slructures were~ynthesized from Nitrofuran-Thiazolc ring combination and were tested in laboratory animals for their biological activity. \Vith these results obtained in such experiments over several years, the presence of carcinogcnic activity, importance of the additional moieties, and the way~to change the tropism toward tissues were somewhat understood and were utİlized in the synthesis of FANFT as a very potent urinary bladder careinogen that is currently used in many laboratories working against cancer in all over the World.
