... lışmada, Sinop İli Ayancık İlçesinde bulunan meslek yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin yaptığı harcama grupları ve bu harcamaların ilçe ekonomisine katkısı araştırılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında geliştirilen anket 220 öğrenciye uygulanmış ve elde edilen veriler SPSS 21.0 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre üniversite öğrencilerinin aylık harcama bütçelerinde ilk üç sırayı barınma, beslenme ve ulaşım harcamaları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya göre, Ayancık'ta okuyan bir üniversite öğrencisinin 2019 yılı için aylık toplam geliri 614 TL olarak bulunurken, aylık toplam harcaması ise yaklaşık 609 TL olarak belirlenmiştir. Abstract Universities are one of the most important institutions from the aspects of shaping the identity of society and generating the infrastructure of socio-cultural dynamics. Economically, universities play an important role in local and regional development when they are evaluated in terms of all possible expenditures that students make during their education. Also, economic sustainability of the university in the region is affected from the attitudes of the students towards the opportunities they have in the provinces and districts. This paper examines the contribution of the university in district economy in respect of the shares of expenditure made by students at the vocational college in Ayancık district of Sinop. In the scope of this research, developed questionnaire was applied to 220 students and the data were analysed with SPSS 21.0 program. As a result of findings, the first three ranks of students' spends according to various expenditure items are indicated by accommodation, nutrition and transportation. According to the study, in 2019, the monthly total income of a university student in Ayancık is 614 TL, while the monthly total expenditure of each is determined as 609 TL. On a yearly basis, the total amount of expenditure within the district made by 845 students studying at Ayancık vocational college is calculated as approximately 4.119.344 TL. As a final, It is clear that the expenses of university students play an important role in the development of the district economy and the revival of the market.
