The experiment results of the large scale model of a thin film head mentioned in this ~per show that the valuse of both longi tudinal and perpendicular components of the useful recording flux density of the thin film head will. a Y-Ba4::u oxide superc:onductive gap between its magnetic poles are obviously lar-ger than that of the head with an air gal'. It means that the effect of the superconductive gap is of enhancing the head sensitivity.
