Currently, competition is considered the basis for the functioning and development of enterprises. Due to the fact that competition in the transport sector is quite high, companies need to come up with previously unknown approaches to winning the market by creating additional competitive advantages. more » ... isting approaches and methods used to determine competitiveness. The classification of methods for assessing the competitiveness of enterprises is also considered. When using the product method as an indicator of an enterprise's competitiveness, the weighted average value should be calculated using economic and parametric indices. Taking into account the variety of existing tools for determining competitiveness, their final choice largely determines the goals and objectives of the enterprise, the size and budget allocated for the approach to improving competitiveness. The study of competitors and competition conditions in the industry is required by the company first of all in order to determine what its advantages and disadvantages are over competitors, and on the basis of all draw conclusions to develop its own successful competitive strategy and maintain a competitive advantage.
