In the spring of 1902 physics instructors from a number of schools met in Chicago to consider the organization of an association of physics teachers of the Central States. A committee of three was appointed, which after further consideration of the matter, called a meeting for the 7th of June. Twenty-five schools were represented at this general meeting, at which an association was formerly organized, a constitution adopted, and officers elected.
