The development status of a prototype readout module for Hyper Suprime-Cam, a next-generation prime-focus camera for the 8.2 m Subaru Telescope, is presented. The camera has a field of view 1.5° in diameter, and produces 2.1 Gbyte of data per exposure. The module transfers the data to computers of a data acquisition system using TCP/IP and Gigabit Ethernet.
