Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by epidermal hyperproliferation and lymphocytic infiltration. The ongoing inflammatory process in psoriasis affects the arterial wall promoting the atherosclerotic process, increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease in a younger group of patients.
