Least Squares Higher Order Method for the Solution of a Combined Multifluid-Population Balance Model: Modeling and Implementation Issues
2012
Procedia Engineering
In this paper we attempt to highlight the main challenges of the implementation of the presented combined Eulerian multifluid-Population balance model for bubbly flows as applied to simulate the behavior of vertical bubble column reactor. The 1-D steady-state model equations for the bubble column with water as the liquid continuous phase and air bubbles of diameter as a dispersed phase, constitutes the liquid continuity and momentum equations and the dispersed phase population balance
