The aim of this study is to identify the importance of employing electronic applications based on the picture communication system (PECS) in developing communication and social interaction skills among students with autism spectrum disorder. Axes for data collection, which were applied to the study sample, which numbered (37) autism spectrum disorder teachers and (5) supervisors. more » ... autism spectrum disorder for electronic applications based on the picture communication system (PECS) in the educational environment was (4.38), meaning a degree of importance (very large), The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) in the level of requirements to employ female teachers with autism spectrum disorder for electronic applications based on the picture communication system ‫النوعية‬ ‫للرتبية‬ ‫العربية‬ ‫اجمللة‬ ‫السادس‬ ‫اجمللد‬ -( ‫العدد‬ 32 ‫يوليو‬ ) 3233 ‫م‬ 284 (PECS) in the educational environment according to academic specialization, job level, academic qualification, and years of professional experience , and the level of dealing with educational technology, and based on the results, the researcher made a number of recommendations, most notably: working on the employment of electronic applications based on the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) in developing verbal communication skills for students with autism spectrum disorder, and conducting complementary studies on the subject.
