The present study discusses the importance of using images from art and history textbooks on the 6 th grade at Belarmino de Mendonça Junior School. It presents a qualitative methodological proposal, alongside concepts and ideas from articles and important theoreticians who defend the usage of images in the classroom. We live in a visual world.
