This Thesis research identifies good administrative and pedagogical scholar practices that can contribute to improve student's performance on elementary school in centralized mathematics assessments. For that, a DEA BCC Bootstrapping Two Stage model was used, followed by quintile trend analysis for the available variables and a Principal Component Analysis, for 3,330 Brazilian municipal schools of high socioeconomic level, in order to identify municipal public schools in the Elementary School II that demonstrated efficiency in students' performance between years 2011 and 2015. Based on achieved results from the quantitative method, field research was carried out with eight municipal public schools, with the application of semi-structured interviews with school directors, Mathematics teachers and Municipal Secretaries of Education. Based on the analysis of the variables identified by the DEA BCC Bootstrapping Two Stage models, quintile trend analysis and Principal Component Analysis, and their subsequent comparison with the most relevant variables for efficiency in Mathematics teaching verified on field research, it was possible to identify good administrative practices and that can be replicated in schools in order to increase students' mathematics performance and eventually replicate these practices in poor performance schools. The good practices identified for the variables that improve performance are especially related to the social environment and the support of the students' family, the effective delivery of the program content planned for the school year and the good use of class time by teachers, quality the textbooks used by students and their personal interest in reading and studying.
