Effect of process parameters on solidification of Al-33Cu strip in high speed twin roll strip casting- A numerical study

In twin roll strip casting process, the solidification behavior in the molten pool affects the process efficiency and the product quality which is influenced by the process parameters. Numerical simulations have been carried out to analyze the fluid flow, heat transfer and solidification in high speed twin roll strip caster at different pouring temperatures and roll gaps and the knowledge of heat flux distribution at the liquid metal-roll interface.
