A third world view of, and approach to, some WET problems

A brief analysis of the resources contributed and returns received by various nodes in the Whole Earth Telescope network is presented. Some problems with the funding and organization of the network are discussed and possible solutions proposed. In particular, it is shown that the Third World labour, provided it is of the 1st class standard, offers the best value for money and should be used both for the construction of equipment, as well as the employment of an administrative assistant that is
