Elasto-plastic deformation and fracture strength of single lap joints were investigated experimentally and analytically. The joint adherends were carbon steel and aluminum alloy. The adhesive was epoxy resin. The stress and strain in the joints under tensile loading were analyzed by using elasto-plastic finite element method.
