Delhi has been described in many ways -celebratory, poetic, envious and jealous. It has been called the eternal city, the forever bride, the graveyard of empires and there are others, some laudatory and others not so generous. 1 One of the most remarkable things about Delhi is the fact that only one of the 8 capitals that were built here over the last 1000 years or so, was named Delhi and that is New Delhi.
