Acute psychological stress induced by academic exams is associated with dysregulated gastrointestinal and immune function. Objective: We examined whether supplementation with galactooligosaccharides reduced gastrointestinal dysfunction and the percentage of days with cold or flu in academically stressed undergraduate students.
