Fermentation of Urine.-The method of preparing delicate test paper for the detection of urea in the urine or other fluid has been previously referred to in these reports.1 M. Musculus has continued his researches upon this subject, and now recommends2 the ropy alkaline urine of a patient with cystitis as the best material from which to obtain the ferment which causes the decomposition of urea to ammonia and carbonic acid.
