Simple closed-form expressions for the probability of error for nonuniform M-ary Differential Amplitude Phase-Shift-Key (DAPSK) signaling over an Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and Rayleigh fading channels are presented. Nonuniform M-DAPSK is shown to be useful for multimedia communication and multicast transmission. The performance of nonuniform M-DAPSK with punctured convolutional coding is presented.
