Th 呈 s paper c 〔 ,nsiders active control of the gound transrnission loss of a 醐 exiblep とし nel partitionil コ g an open spa。 ce . A control strategy presented ill the work comprises both active and passive control for the purpose of niinimizing the total ac 〔 ) ustic power transmitted from a panel excited acoustically from the other side , hence hybrid contrQl . As with a passive control stratcgy , a double − leaf partitien inethod is employed , thereby enhancing the sound transmission loss in

First, the sour ユ d field system produced by a double − leaf waH with air space acoustically excited is described . Cluster control consisting of cluster filtering and clustcr actuatien is therl employed , the system stute being cxpres . sed . Moreover , the optimal contr 〔 〕11aw for minimizing the tota ]acoustic power radiating from a vibrating panel is derived . A numerical analysis is then conducted , clarifying the control effect for suppressing the transmitted sound pQwer . Finally , an experirnent is carried eut , demonstrating the capability for elユhanclng the sound transmission loss using the hybrid contrel strategy .
