In this article, the authors evaluate a newly-developed method, which is based on the Contact and Channel Approach (C&C²-A) and uses models integrating embodiment design and functions for supporting the collaborative failure analysis in product development. Previous interview-based investigations of the method have already showed a potential regarding comprehensibility, extension of the analysis scope and improvement of efficiency.
