The article analyzes the impact of investment activity on the development of the Russian economy. Factors that influence decision-making in the investment sphere are considered. The relationship between fixed capital investment and economic growth is determined, as well as the amount of fixed capital investment required for GDP growth. The factors that have a negative impact on the investment climate and the main reasons that hinder the growth of investment in the economy are identified.
