Ovarian carcinoma (OVC) is often diagnosed at an advanced stage and requires effective chemotherapy as a first-line treatment. However, chemotherapy may be associated with significant side-effects, like nausea, vomiting, hair loss, cognitive dysfunction, fatigue and changes in sexual functioning.
