This paper describes relevant technical principles of construction of a novel radar system. This so-called Near-Range Radar Network (NRN) is a modular structured low power radar system designed as a candidate for the nonco-operative surveillance of ground moving traffic on airports in completion to existing surveillance systems or as single sensor, alternatively. A prototype system comprising four locally distributed radar stations, each equipped with non-rotating antennas, has been developed.doi:10.1109/icsens.2002.1037378 fatcat:4kgyhgwekfav5khnai7g5cubdm
