Objectives: We conducted a comparison of the Abbott Molecular RealTime (Rungis, France) and Roche Diagnostics Cobas Taqman (Meylan, France) automated nucleic acid extraction and real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification systems for their capacity to quantify HIV RNA of various subtypes.
