... ee proline content of Aloe vera L. seedlings were investigated. The inhibitory effects of nickel and cadmium on seedling growth resulted in decrease of chlorophyll and total protein contents. Free proline increased, while the fresh weight of the seedling was not affected by the treatments. The results indicate that vitamin B complex alleviated the inhibitory effects of nickel on A. vera L. seedlings by increasing chlorophyll, fresh weight and total protein contents.
