SecurOntology: A semantic web access control framework

Security and privacy are key concerns for the current dimension the Internet has reached in our daily life. Policies representing resource access based on knowledge-oriented descriptions have gained momentum with the emergence of Semantic Technologies based approaches. In this paper, we present the SecurOntology approach, which encompasses a three-fold strategy: a wellstructured ontology for access control to resources, a logical declarative framework and a software architecture as a proof-of-concept of the advantages of this solution.
