Analysis of the mechanism of the accelerometer pre-buried method for a Depth of Penetration measurement

The pre-buried method has the potential to measure the Depth of Penetration (DOP) of a projectile into a target with a large dimension and potential dangers. Based on the numerical simulation of a reduced-scale projectile into unreinforced concrete target, the mechanism of the accelerometer pre-buried method is studied.
