Private Investment in highway transportation projects: Approaches and barriers

There have been numerous recent examples of transportation financing techniques that have included private sector funds. The most publicized techniques for highway projects appear to be developer assessment fees based on projected traffic generation or area utilized and are generally in highgrowth areas.
